About Raquel Floyd Bashir
Dedicated to helping nursing students succeed through clear guidance, practical study strategies, and real-world clinical insight.
Professional Background
Raquel Floyd Bashir, PMHNP-BC, is a healthcare professional, educator, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Her journey in healthcare began as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and progressed through multiple roles including Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, and Registered Nurse before becoming a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
In addition to her clinical work, Raquel is a university nursing professor dedicated to mentoring and supporting future nurses. She understands the challenges nursing students face because she has experienced them herself while advancing through every level of nursing education.
Raquel is also the founder of Kehlani Rose Scrubs, a designer healthcare clothing line created specifically for women in healthcare. Her brand focuses on professional, stylish, and functional medical apparel available in inclusive sizing from Small to 5XL, along with healthcare footwear designed for the demands of long clinical shifts.
Despite being dyslexic, Raquel never allowed learning challenges to define her path. Instead, she used them as motivation to push forward and succeed through multiple levels of higher education. Her story serves as inspiration to students who may feel that the road to becoming a nurse is overwhelming.
During her own nursing education, Raquel discovered that many study guides were overly complicated and filled with unnecessary information. Because of this, she created her own line of nursing study guides designed to simplify learning and help students focus on the essential concepts they need to succeed.
Her Mission
Raquel Floyd Bashir’s mission is to support and empower nursing students by providing clear, practical study resources that simplify complex medical concepts. Through her study guides, teaching, and mentorship, she aims to help students build confidence, overcome challenges, and succeed in their nursing education and professional careers.
She believes that with the right guidance, determination, and support, every aspiring nurse has the ability to succeed and make a meaningful impact in healthcare.
